What is it

The repository of the National Quality Infrastructure System of Greece is a an infrastructure of digital content, that provides open access to online material produced through activities related to Metrology and Standardisation. The repository contributes to the collection, organisation, management and online dissemination of open content, while at the same time it also facilitates the long-term storage and preservation of this content. The purpose of the repository is to provide free access to the relevant content for all interested parties.

Content and Use

The content of this repository is produced through activities of the independent operating units: Hellenic Organization for Standardization (ELOT) and Hellenic Institute of Metrology (EIM). The repository contains studies, reports, technical instructions, presentations, videos and photos that are available through an easy to navigate digital environment. Regarding the principle of open access, the entire content of the repository is freely accessible, facilitating the exploitation of the content and also providing the potential for further dissemination, promotion and re-use by the user communities and anyone who is interested in studying and using it.

The repository is made available to all members of the academic, technical and educational community, and anyone interested in searching for material related to Metrology and Standardisation.

The Development of the repository

The NQIS Repository has been developed by the National Documentation Centre (EKT) in collaboration with the NQIS, under the Project "National Information System for Research and Technology /Social Networks-User Generated Content" (NISRT). The project is part of the Operational Programme "Digital Convergence", NSFR (co-financed by Greece and the European Union - European Regional Development Fund). The software used for the development of the repository is DSpace.
